“This year is so meaningful to us because it marks our 35th anniversary, and what better way to welcome the new year than by honoring local individuals and businesses that have given so much to our community,” said Jay Tamsi, President/CEO of the Kern County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. “Our honorees this year are all special because they give to our community in their own unique ways. ”
 
The following is the list of business award honorees:
 
• Business Man of the Year: Dr. Jeet Singh, Centric Health
• Business Woman of the Year: Blanca Cavazos, Superintendent, Taft Union High School District
• Corporation of the Year: Jim Burke Ford Lincoln
• Large Business of the Year: Performance Realtors
• Small Business of the Year: Que Pasa Mexican Cafe
• Non-Profit Organization of the Year: Mendiburu Magic Foundation 
• Community Service Award: Tere Quintana
